Like A Boss will be rolling out across Kiwi schools and youth organisations from Term 2, 2019.
In Term 1 we invite YOU,as a rockstar innovator to apply to be one of ten L.A.B Champion Educators to road test the modules, share insights and how you've made L.A.B come alive in your classroom and organisation.
YOU WILL:
-
Receive hands-on support from the L.A.B team in designing and delivering your own L.A.B programme, including helping you to source business coaches and other community resources
-
One-on-one guidance and support as and when you need it
-
A trip to Auckland in Week One of the April school holidays for a sharing workshop
-
Potential to use the experience as part of “teaching as inquiry” professional development
-
A chance for you and your school/ organisation to be featured in the L.A.B promotional case studies materials
-
A $1000 stipend to cover your extra time in sharing your insights and experience with us
YOU WILL NEED TO:
-
Be a passionate educator, deeply committed to your students, and to explore innovative approaches to facilitate their learning, ready for a new era of work. You don’t need to have any prior experience teaching 21C skills or business studies.
-
Have the support of your school or organisation’s leadership to allow you the extra time needed to design and deliver L.A.B at your place (you will need to commit to an hour a week through Term 1 plus the holiday workshop)
-
Have at least one other educator at your organisation who is committed to working with you on the initiative - two heads are always better than one!
